Radiant ceiling heating: a high-performance and invisible solution

Contrary to popular belief, underfloor heating is no more efficient than ceiling heating. While hot air naturally rises, radiant heat works differently: whether the source is at the ceiling or the floor, the result is identical.

The Fricokit is a complete heating system integrated into the plasterboard. For optimal performance, it is essential to use plasterboards specifically designed for this PRP (Plaster Radiant Ceiling) technique.

Advantages of plaster radiant ceiling

PRP offers remarkable energy efficiency. Unlike the floor which accommodates furniture and carpets that obstruct heat distribution, the ceiling remains clear. Only a thin 13 mm plaster layer separates the heat source from the room, achieving 80% efficiency. Response time is fast thanks to almost zero inertia, without a floating screed to heat. Surface temperature never exceeds 32°C.

Simplified installation

The Fricokit is designed for professionals and experienced DIY enthusiasts. Each kit serves a single room via its dedicated thermostat. Panels connect to each other through the garland, which terminates in a junction box connected to the thermostat. 230V single-phase power arrives at the thermostat (11A relay), then connects to the garland.

Sizing your installation

Required power depends on your home's insulation:

Very good insulation: 75 W/m² for supplementary heating, 85 W/m² for primary heating

Good insulation: 85 W/m² for supplementary heating, 100 W/m² for primary heating

Insufficient insulation: Fricokit is not suitable, choose another system
