This FRICOKIT from FRICO includes everything needed to install an electric radiant ceiling heating system: plaster heating panels, integrated regulation and thermostat. Model FKIT0660, power 660W, coverage area 9.00 m².

Ceiling radiant heating: a high-performance system

Contrary to popular belief, ceiling heating is just as effective as underfloor heating. It's not heat that rises, but hot air. With radiation, the position of the source matters little. The Fricokit is a complete heating system integrated into plasterboard. For optimal insulation, it can serve as the main heating system; in other cases, it works as supplementary or comfort heating.

Installation strictly requires specific PRP plasterboard panels. Professionals agree on the excellence of this technology: only a thin 13 mm layer separates the heat source from the room. Unlike floors which accommodate furniture and carpets, the ceiling remains clear, allowing optimal 80% heat distribution. Response time is fast due to reduced inertia, with surface temperatures not exceeding 32°C.

Installation

Installation must be carried out by a professional. Each kit equips an individual room with its own thermostat. Assembly involves connecting the junction boxes and positioning components according to the layout plan. Panels connect via the garland to the junction box, then to the thermostat. 230V single-phase power arrives at the thermostat (11A relay), which controls the entire system.

A standard box develops 73.3 W/m². Individual kits cover from 1.80 m² to 30.60 m² (132W to 2244W).

Detailed composition

Heating panels: High-density rock wool insulation, heating element bonded to underside with 2m cold connection. Power 44W (600mm) or 88W (1200mm).

Neutral panels SKP36N: Same construction without heating element. Ensure thermal insulation continuity.

TEVMIN11 regulation: 6-order electronic thermostat with 10-day first commissioning program. Prevents drying out and cracking of panels after jointing.

Electrical connection: Each panel has a 2m cord with male plug. Exclusive connection via specialized GPRP lines with connections every 1200mm.

Implementation

In accordance with NF C15100, CPT-PRP and technical approval. Installation by QUALIBAT 7151, 7152 or 7153 qualified companies. Thermal study and layout plan mandatory. No drilling in heating elements. 30mA differential protection per 7.5kW max section (230V) or 13kW (400V).
