BB 30 Paint Thickness Tester - TROTEC

The BB30 is a portable device designed to quickly and reliably control the thickness of non-magnetic layers applied to ferromagnetic or non-ferrous metal substrates.

It measures with the same precision on steel and iron as on aluminum, magnesium or titanium. Ideal for paints, varnishes, galvanizations, enamels or plastic coatings, it finds its place in the automotive industry, shipbuilding, metallurgy and many other sectors.

Dual sensor and practical measuring head

Equipped with a high-sensitivity dual sensor, the BB30 guarantees reliable measurements in a range of 0 to 2,000 µm. Its spring-mounted measuring head with V-groove facilitates checks on curved surfaces such as axles or hinges, without being disturbed by vibrations. A flexible probe extension is included to reach hard-to-access areas.

Data recording and transfer

Up to 2,500 values can be stored in the internal memory. Recorded data and measurement groups can be viewed directly on the device. Thanks to the Bluetooth interface, transfer to PC or mobile terminal is simple and fast. The backlit display with adaptive intensity ensures optimal readability in all circumstances.
